This is Woodies famous light weight side mount battery for the Minelab SD, GP and GPX series detectors. These are made using the latest battery technology, allowing you to prospect for longer than ever before. No more back mounted heavy battery!
Refer to the guide below.
- SD/GP has 4 pin cable plug connection and only suitable for the older series Minelab SD2000, 2100, 2200 & GP3000, 3500, and GP Extreme detectors.
- GPX up to 5000 has 5 pin cable plug connection and is only suitable for the Minelab GPX 4000, 4500, 4800 or 5000 detectors.
The original Minelab batteries are fitted with an internal audio booster. These aftermarket batteries aren't and we recommend purchasing a booster to pair with these battery.
*High capacity batteries come with additional ports, which allow you to charge the battery with existing USB-C chargers, or charge your other gear from the battery with USB-A.

An essential item. Very light and adaptable and appears to have a good battery life. The charger is flimsy and not a great contact to the battery but this can be overcome by raising one end to ensure the contacts engage. All in all, quite pleased.

Well I had.one.but it was the wrong battery because I never highlighted the green box on the gpx5000 so I sent it back only to learn they don't have the one I want instock so how long before I get battery I don't know.like it took a 9 days to get to me . Send back they received from Friday to Tuesday.

Store owner replied: hi Glenn we didn't order the wrong product but i did offer to help you out by paying shipping back to you if you returned the incorrecetly order part. i can't help it if the product you wanted was sold out you could have ordered directly from the manufacture in Victoria if you were in a hurry we've done our best to help you. shipping to you was 5 business days as confirmed by the tracking reasonable time from Queensland to Country Victoria pretty standard as you selected standard post for delivery and opted to pay express on return obviously your return was quicker. hopefully your back up and running soon all the best

The light weight battery I purchased for my Gpx 4500 makes detecting so much easier not having it attached to me, the battery Velcros on to the side of the detector and doesn't increase the weight to bad ,I still put my harness and bungee on if swinging it for a long time but easy to just unclip the bungee ,put the detector down out of the way and dig. A great improvement. Many thanks

I have an old Minelab SD2200 & had not used it in 3 years due to battery failure to hold charge & believed there was no replacements? . I have just now discovered Goldrat can supply a replacement, and with an easy online order and reasonable interstate freight time, I now have a useable detector again. Thanks Goldrat team.

I have only briefly tested this setup on my detector and all is working well. I have not had a chance to use it on a fossicking trip yet. to see how long the battery will last. It is definitely an improvement over the lead acid battery and backpack option. Looking forward to my next trip.
