The sluice improved efficiency by 1000%. I would never been able to get through as much with a pan in such a short time. One improvement will be desirable is accessories to aid setup. Setting it up effectively is the challenge to use a sluice properly. Getting the right flow and angle is critical to get it to work properly.
The 888 is built extremely well and the mini cell dream mat is perfect for catching all your shiny. Didn't have enough water flow to give it a proper run yet but it worked really well in the conditions available. Delivery was fantastic and turned up earlier than expected and communication from the shop was fantastic. Will definitely be looking to grab more equipment from GR when ready.
Bloody great product. Picked up a heap of fine gold and larger flakes my riffle sluice lost.
Purchase and delivery was spot on , the item is absolutely wonderful to work with. The sluice is made to a high quality , best asset to have for prospecting.
Still yet to try it out, but it's built well. I think I might add a handle on the side for an alternative carrying option.

A solid unit. I'm able to put this in a back pack and take it down to the river through some rugged terrain. Not heavy but a good size and sturdy. Works a treat ;)

Got the job done!
First time out with the sluice today. Was impressed by how well it worked as the spot I was working is full of superfine gold. Classifying plate made it super fast to move large volumes of dirt. Should only get better as I get used to setting it up and using it.

Just got mine in yesterday shipping was super fast from Australia to Chicago. Unfortunately, the U S post office took their sweet time from there to Kansas City. Packaging was perfect. No flaws in this box now I just wait for the creeks to unfreeze can’t wait to use it for some of that super fine glacial gold here in Missouri Thank you so much!
I love Doing business with Gold Rat engineering. Shipment went wrong due issues at the Australian customs and it returned to the seller, but wenn I'd contact them they solved it very quick. My first rat is the 6" and today I've received my 888 with tray. Can't wait to run it next summer. Many thanks 👍

I have bought a few things with dream mats from you guys. I understand about the film left on them and I spent a long time scrubbing this mat in warm soapy water before using it. As you can see, there's quite a bit of gold left in there and it still feels quite slimy. I spent another 30 mins scrubbing with the toothbrush and soap and eventually got pretty much all the gold out. The next day I still had more gold stuck. Any tips (aside from what I've tried) to remove this film? I don't want to start using harsh chemicals without your OK, for fear of damaging the mat. Other than that, I love it.
Was good fun getting in the creek. Even got some specs of gold.

Great little sluice.
The gold rat 888 river sluce is easy to set up Light weight enough to carry on a trek before ya get to your spot and is simple to do the cleanup after your done I would recommend it to any novice or expert prospector.
I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of this product, I look forward to a successful implementation of it .

Absolutely fantastic if you can set it up properly. It takes some time to understand and find the trick. I’m sure GoldRat will eventually develop accessories to improve flexibilty to set it up.
