A good gold snuffer Bottle should be a combination of soft but rigid, it should have a proper lid which doesn't come off in your pocket causing your leg to get wet and the suction tube internal diameter should be big enough to suck up a decent picker and small gems.
Additionally you should be able to go away for the weekend and fill that baby with black sand, nothing worse than running out of snuffer room while on the road.
Over the years we've bought and tested and used in the field just about every snuffer bottle made, we decided it was time we sourced a good bottle and made our own snuffers to suit our style of gold and gem prospecting.
These little snuffer bottles have a 5mm internal diameter that's double what most snuffers offer in a hard tube, because they are soft if you get a rock jammed inside you can easily apply pressure to the walls to dislodge the jam.
What's in the pack:
1 x 120mm Gold Snuffer bottle with lid
1 x Gold Vial with lid 16x25mm
What is a Snuffer bottle?
A snuffer bottle is a tool we use as gold prospectors to suck the gold out of our pans whilst in the field. We use our snuffer bottle to hold our fine gold and our pickers and gems stones for later inspection. A snuffer bottle need to be rigid but soft so you can use the suction press squeeze power in the plastic, for this reason we use PPE. A good snuffer bottle should also have a watertight lid so the water does not leak into your pocket or backpack. What makes a snuffer bottle unique is its ability to be able to suck up mineral into the bottle whiles not squeezing out what you have in the bottle.
You do this by tipping the bottle upside down and squeezing the bottle with the straw pointing up inside the bottle. heavies will land inside the bottle on the downside.
